Rotti's owner died - family willing to transport dog to rescue/home within 3 hours of Jax,Fl

Hello – I am writing on behalf of my co-worker and friend, Patty Burnette.  Her brother has passed away unexpectedly, leaving behind a wonderful dog – her name is Rebecca. 

 

There are no family members who can care for her – Patty already has a dog that needs to be in an “only dog” family, and Patty’s mother is too elderly to care for a dog.

 

Rebecca is 9-10 years old, current on all shots (June 2010).  She gets along great with people and other dogs, and is very sweet and lovable.  We believe she is a Rottweiler mix.  Like so many other wonderful pets in similar situations, she does not deserve to go to a shelter … where she would likely be euthanized just because of her age.

 

We are reaching out for help in all directions.  Someone mentioned your group, so I thought I would at least try.
