Citrus County, FL heartbreaking story Max & Milly living alone for 5 mo

Please post, cross post for fosters, adoption.  We'll get them transported.  

I'm sorry, I don't know which is which... but they're both in need.

 

Fellow Rescuers/Dog Lovers,  

I have been asked to help get the word out about Max & Dolly. They are desperately in need of a new home.  They have lost both of their parents and have been living in their home (in Citrus County, Fl.) alone for 5 months !!! They have been using a doggie door to go in and out, with only minimal care from neighbors. 

  Max and Dolly have until October when the family comes from the north to close the house to find new homes.  Please help by spreading the word about them to every dog related person that you know. Don't be afraid to share with your personal email list either. They may know someone who can help as well.   

Anyone who can donate food for Max & Dolly is appreciated by the neighbors trying to care for them. Rescue placement would be the ultimate. They are hopefull that they can find adopters for them in time.

Dolly is 7 1/2, Max is 4 1/2.  Their dad died, their mom went to a nursing home :(  They are well behaved, housebroken, and oh so lonely in the house by themselves..... they want to be part of a family again!
