Help needed for an elderly cat..Owner just had a liver transplant jax fl
My sister just had a liver transplant at Mayo Clinic here in Jacksonville. The doctors told her she MUST give up her cat immediately. The cat is female, spayed, has all shots, lives indoors, and is sixteen years old. The cat is very healthy, about 9 pounds, but does need to be given medication twice a day for her thyroid. She is a very sweet and friendly orange tabby.
I live in NY and my husband has severe asthma and a heart condition, otherwise I would take her home with me. I am going to board the cat temporarily until I can figure out a solution. At sixteen years old, I know she is unadoptable. I am hoping to find a kind soul who would take her and let her live out her remaining days in peace and contentment. I am willing to provide the financial support needed for her.
Can you help?
Any ideas are greatly appreciated

Don't know if you received this desperate posting. There are several adorable small dogs needing immediate rescue. It is hard to scroll through all of the photos, but Lulu the rattie (5th from bottom) caught my eye and I am donating $25 to a group that will take her. Then there is Prince (noted Peke, but I think more Pom) and Trista (Tzu). See info and contacts below. Dogs are/will be vaccinated and wormed and there is xport help as well. Many more sweet faces - hard to scroll through. Let me know and don't delay in contacting shelter at info below. Thanks.
