Abandoned Dogs - Lake City, FL

These 2 dogs were ABANDONED by their "owners", they packed up and moved out and never looked back.  The neighbor has been feeding these dogs since July, that's right, July....the "owner stated that he "fed his dogs every 2 or 3 days" and this sweet older gentleman was heartbroken watching these 2 skin and bone dogs being starved, went out bought dog food so he could feed these dogs everyday and made sure that they always had water.  We were able to get both dogs take a Comfortis, as they were eaten up with fleas and have serious sores on them, naturally from that element they have been forced to live in.  I was called out to take their picture and plead for their life!!!  The daughter of the gentleman who is feeding them called Animal Control and they are suppose to come out pick these dogs up and we all know what will happen....BOTH dogs are sweet and took treats from our hands, the "pitty" is a male - NOT neutered and the "lab/chow" is NOT spayed and she is quite possibly pregnant.  PLEASE if anyone can take them into Rescue PLEASE let me know asap, they could be taken to Animal Control Monday, I have asked for them to wait for 2 or 3 days, but cannot guarantee that.  This is URGENT for these 2 wonderful dogs, this is just becoming an overwhelming problem with abandonment and I believe that this female has NEVER seen the inside of a home, nor a real loving hand for that matter, she is still a little timid at first as what your hand is being used for, it is sooo sad.  The male, however greets you very quickly with a "smile" he has definitely known, at some point what a loving hand is.  PLEASE crosspost for these 2.  THANK YOU!!!
