Help needed for an elderly cat..Owner just had a liver transplant jax fl
My sister just had a liver transplant at Mayo Clinic here in Jacksonville. The doctors told her she MUST give up her cat immediately. The cat is female, spayed, has all shots, lives indoors, and is sixteen years old. The cat is very healthy, about 9 pounds, but does need to be given medication twice a day for her thyroid. She is a very sweet and friendly orange tabby.
I live in NY and my husband has severe asthma and a heart condition, otherwise I would take her home with me. I am going to board the cat temporarily until I can figure out a solution. At sixteen years old, I know she is unadoptable. I am hoping to find a kind soul who would take her and let her live out her remaining days in peace and contentment. I am willing to provide the financial support needed for her.
Can you help?
Any ideas are greatly appreciated

Dolly was used as bait- sad story, but she still needs help!
DEAR ANGELS,
DOLLY, A WONDERFUL FEMALE STAFFORDSHIRE TERRIER, SUPER SWEET AND GENTLE NEEDS YOUR HELP.
SHE WAS APPARENTLY USED AS BAIT BY A MAN NAMED LUCIOUS THAT CLAIMED THAT HE HAD FOUND HER ON THE STREET PERHAPS HIT BY CAR OR BEATEN BY SOMEONE. THE STORY WAS BELIEVABLE THE FIRST TIME SO I SENT HIM TO MY VET TO GET TREATMENT. I WAS OUT OF THE COUNTRY BUT A FRIEND RESCUER CALLED ME AND ASKED ME TO HELP OUT. HE SAID THAT HE HAD NO MONEY FOR THE VET SO I PAID FOR IT. LUCKILY SHE HAD NO BROKEN BONES AT THE TIME AND WAS TREATED WITH ANTIBIOTICS. HE SAID THAT HE WANTED TO KEEP HER, THAT HE NAMED HER BROWNIE AND THAT HE WAS SO GRATEFUL TO HAVE FOUND HER AND THAT I HAD HELPED. HE KEPT IN CONTACT WITH MY A FELLOW RESCUER AND SHE THOUGHT THAT HE WAS A GOOD MAN THAT REALLY LOVED THE DOG.
3 WEEKS AFTER HE HAD TAKEN HER TO MY VET FOR HER INJURIES I GOT A FRANTIC CALL WHILE I WAS WORKING IN PUERTO RICO AND HE SAID THAT HE LET THE DOG OUTSIDE FOR 5 MINUTES IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD AND THAT ANOTHER DOG ATTACKED HER.
SHE HAD A BROKEN JAW AND MULTIPLE WOUNDS, SHE WAS BLEEDING PROFUSELY WHEN SHE ARRIVED AT THE VET'S OFFICE, SHE IS ALIVEBY A MIRACLE. THE VET CALLED ME IN PUERTO RICO AND ASKED ME IF SHE SHOULD PUT HER TO SLEEP AND I ASKED HER TO PLEASE SAVE HER LIFE. I HAD NEVER SEEN THIS DOG, THIS WAS DONE ALL BY PHONE.
I DO NOT BELIEVE THE STORIES THAT THIS MAN IS TELLING, SINCE ALL HAS BEEN VERY INCONSISTENT AND THE VETS DOES NOT BELIEVE THE MAN EITHER. I HAVE NEVER SEEN THE MAN SINCE I WAS AWAY, I WAS TALKING TO HIM OVER THE PHONE THE FIRST TIME AND THE SECOND TIME AS WELL.
THE VET THAT DID THE SURGERY, DR, RANDY DOMINGUEZ, BELIEVES THAT SHE WAS USED AS BAIT AND THAT HER JAW WAS BROKEN BY A KICK IN THE FACE. THIS IS TERRIBLE BUT FORTUNATELY SHE IS RECOVERING FROM THE OPERATION WELL.
I AM TAKING POSSESSION OF THE DOG AND TAKING FULL RESPONSIBILITY FOR HER SINCE NOBODY ELSE STEPPED UP BUT I AM IN NEVADA UNTIL THURSDAY.THE OPERATION AND THE PREVIOUS TREATMENT AMOUNT TO $2,000.00. I NEED DONATIONS TO HELP PAY FOR SOME OF THIS BILL.
I YOU CAN HELP CALL THE VET'S OFFICE AND DONATE THAT WAY: PALMETTO ANIMAL HOSPITAL 305 824-9990 SAY THAT YOU WANT TO DONATE FOR BROWNIE (DOLLY)
OR YOU CAN CONTRIBUTE THROUGH PAYPAL LOGGIN ON TO FURANGELSRESCUE@GMAIL.COM
ANY SMALL DONATION COUNTS!
DOLLY (PREVIOUSLY NAMED BROWNIE BY LUCIOUS) IS BEING FOSTERED BY A LADY THAT ALTHOUGH SHE IS A CARING AND RESPONSIBLE, THE FOSTERED DOGS ARE KEPT OUTSIDE THE HOME IN A BIG YARD AND IN 2 SMALL ROOMS THAT HAVE NO HEAT.
I NEED URGENTLY A TEMPORARY FOSTER HOME FOR THE DOG TO RECOVER. SHE A KIND GENTLE DOG. ALL SHE NEEDS WOULD BESOME CARE AND LOVE. SHE STILL HAS THE STITCHES THAT HAVE TO BE REMOVED AS SOON AS I GET BACK FROM NEVADA.
IF YOU CAN PROVIDE A HOME (WHERE SHE IS NOT CAGED) FOR DOLLY TO RECOVER AND BE CARED FORPLEASE CALL ME 305 610-1006
THANK YOU IN ADVANCE AND MANY BLESSINGS!
Love and light,
"Until one has loved an animal, part of their soul remains unawakened"
note:
DOLLY HAS STITCHES ARE ALL OVER HER BODY AND THE JAW HAS STITCHES INSIDE AS WELL AS OUTSIDE THE MOUTH.
SHE ALSO HAD A WOUND THAT OPENED A VEIN AND WAS BLEEDING PROFUSELY WHEN SHE ARRIVED AT VET. NOTICE THAT THERE IS A DRAINAGE UNDER HER MOUTH THAT WAS REMOVED YESTERDAY.

| Animal ID: A192516 Room No.: WD22 Hi, my name is Freckles. I am an approximately 5 year old white and black female Fox Terr Wire-Mix. I am friendly and I tested heartworm negative. Please check here to get an idea of my size. I have been at Orange County Animal Services since Tuesday, December 14, 2010. Here is my story: I'm a very sweet, laid back little girl, gentle and loving. I just need a bath and some TLC and I will be a wonderful companion for your family. Come meet me! - Female Fox Terrier, about 25 lbs, a bit smaller than the male. She was very quiet and timid, but a real sweetheart. She and the male both have hairloss, most likely due to fleas and are quite skinny. They both just need some TLC, the hair should grow back will be beautiful Fox Terriers again. Both have the wirey hair. |

| Animal ID: A192515 Room No.: WD17 Hi, my name is Buddy boy. I am an approximately 5 year old white and black male Fox Terr Smooth-Mix. I am friendly and I have not been tested for heartworms. Please checkhere to get an idea of my size. I have been at Orange County Animal Services since Tuesday, December 14, 2010. Here is my story: I'm a real sweet guy - I have some hair loss most likely due to fleas. I don't have fleas anymore and my hair should grow back and I will be a beautiful wired haired fox terrier again. Come meet me! - Male Fox Terrier about 30-35 lbs. This boy was a very nice dog, housebroken, and good with other dogs. When I took him out into the yard his "friend or sister" Fox Terrier was in the yard next to us and he started crying for her and began digging under the fence in an attempt to get into the other yard to be with her. |
I don't have a pic for the 4th one, but here's his info:

This is sooo sad--- there is one other dogs who's pic i don't have yet there as well named Snoopy. 5 dogs came in after the fire- the owner is now unable to care or house them as his house completely burnt down. The 2 fox terriers are rather bonded as well and cry over one another.....all are heart breaking and loving-- the last ones card says "no kids" only.
I'm truly begging for some GOOD ending to these loves - this has already been so traumatic for them and it all happened so quickly-- to end by being walked to the euth room Tues is not as it should be--- let's give them a chance in 2011 please..................
See attached pics too of 3 of them!
